It was originally issued on Thursday morning after a water line break on Wednesday night.
(Original story: Oct. 17 @ 9:45 am) - Residents served by the Westshore Estates water system are now under a boil water notice.
It covers around 270 properties in the Westshore Estates subdivision, located off Westside Road.
According to the Regional District of Central Okanagan, a water main break is the reason for the notice.
“RDCO Engineering Services crews responded to the reported break last evening, made the necessary repairs and will be flushing the complete system today,” said a statement.
However, Westershore water customers are still urged to drink boiled water or a safe alternative.
This recommendation is for any water intended for drinking, food prep, brushing teeth or making ice, beverages or baby formula.
The notice will be amended once tests confirm water is within acceptable guidelines for Canadian drinking water quality.
