(UPDATE: Aug. 17 @ 3pm) - The City of West Kelowna in conjunction with the Interior Health Authority has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for residences living within the Ross Road and Brentwood Road area.
As there are no other water notices in effect for West Kelowna, the city will no longer be providing free water at the Shannon Lake and Asquith Road bulk water station.

(Original Story: Aug. 14 @ 5 pm) - The City of West Kelowna has issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice for residents in the Ross Road and Brentwood Road areas due to a water main tie-in complication.
Some residents in these areas have had water service turned off.
Construction to install a sidewalk along Ross Road, between Brentwood Road and Riffington Place, is underway and today’s water main tie-in caused some discolouration of water service to area residents.
The City is working with the contractor to rectify the issue and anticipates to have normal service resumed as soon as possible.
Free water is available at the bulk water station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads. A tap is located on the Asquith Road side of the station. Users must bring their own clean containers and clean hoses if needed and ensure they are suitable for potable water.
