The Okanagan is set to welcome yet another winery, as Frind Estate Winery will be opening this summer.

Frind Winery was created by Markus Frind, the founder of the online dating site PlentyOfFish, also known as POF.

Frind sold the site in 2015 after it had already accumulated 150 million users. Now he’s onto the next great venture - vino.

"After the sale Markus embarked on creating an iconic winery in BC; Frind Estate Winery in its current form is the beginning of that journey," says their website.

The 13-acre lakefront winery will have boat access.

He now owns the lakefront property at 3725 Boucherie Rd in West Kelowna. The property was in the Bennett family for over 50 years until it was purchased by Frind.

The Bennetts are well-known in B.C. for holding the premiership for 31 years.

The listing indicates that the winery is set to open this June 1.
