the RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after responding to a medical emergency that led to a man's sudden death this morning in West Kelowna.

Shortly after 8 a.m., RCMP were called to assist the West Kelowna Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services, who responded to a motorhome parked in the 2100-block of Louie Drive, near Walmart, for a report of a medical emergency.

Emergency crews were led by a civilian to an unresponsive and unconscious male who sadly could not be resuscitated and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased has since been identified by police as a West Kelowna man in his 50s, and efforts remain underway to properly notify his next of kin.
