UPDATE: Dobbin Road reopened, power restored in West Kelowna

(UPDATE: 9:10 a.m.) - Power is restored and Dobbin Road has reopened following an early morning multi-vehicle accident in West Kelowna.

(Original story: 6:15 a.m.) - A multi-vehicle crash in West Kelowna has closed Dobbin Road eastbound/northbound between Old Okanagan Highway and Gellatly Road.

The crash also knocked down a power line, resulting in nearly 1,000 BC Hydro customers being without power this morning.

Kelowna RCMP is calling it a “serious motor vehicle incident.”

BC Hydro is on site and working to restore power with hopes of having that done by 9:30 a.m.
