Teenage West Kelowna racing sensation Marco Kacic is heading to Europe to test-drive an electric car.

The 16-year-old is off to Barcelona to try out a Mahindra Racing Formula E car on Nov. 12, 13 and 14.

While there he will join one-time Formula One racer Nick Heidfeld, who is from Germany.

Marco won a Formula 4 Championship title in his debut year last season.

He is now looking to secure funding for the 2020 season.

“I don’t know what to expect,” he explained.

“Driving a Formula E car is going to be something very different for me, but I’m excited for the opportunity and to meet the team.”
