(UPDATE: April 9 @ 4:15 pm) - The City of West Kelowna has rescinded the water quality advisory previously issued for the Lakeview Heights water system.
It was put into place 15 days ago because of elevated turbidity levels in the Rose Valley Reservoir.
(Original story: March 25 @ 6 pm) - West Kelowna’s biggest water system is now under a water quality advisory.
The City issued the advisory for the Lakeview Water System due to elevated turbidity levels in the Rose Valley Reservoir.
The Lakeview Water System covers parts of Shannon Lake, Rose Valley and Lakeview Heights.
The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health Authority, is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for the Lakeview Water System, effective immediately due to elevated turbidity levels.

Residents can find out if they’re included in the advisory by visiting the water quality advisory map or checking if their utility bill starts with 455.
For now, children, the elderly and anyone with a weakened immune system should boil their water for one minute or more before consuming it.
A safe alternate source of water is also available for free at the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake Road and Asquith Road.
It’ll be open until 8 pm today, 11 am until 2 pm on Thursday and during yet-to-be-determined hours from Friday and onward.
