UPDATE: Power restored in West Kelowna

(UPDATE: 3:15 pm) - BC Hydro has reported that power is restored in West Kelowna after being knocked out for several hours. 

(Original Story) - Hundreds of homes and businesses in West Kelowna are without power this afternoon.

BC Hydro reports that 3,500 customers are affected by the power outage, which began around noon. 

The largest covers a vast portion of the city, spanning from the end of Campbell Road to past Trader's Cover and extending well north. 

The cause of the outage is currently under investigation and there is no estimated time for the power to be restored

A second outage is impacting only a handful of homes in the Cougar Road area near Boucherie Road, however, there's also no estimated time for restoration.
