The Central Okanagan’s third legal cannabis store, and West Kelowna’s first, opened its doors today.

Spiritleaf is now taking customers at 104-1195 Industrial Rd., just off Hwy 97 near Mount Boucherie.

It’s the chain’s second location in the Okanagan after its Vernon location, which opened up in June and its 42nd location across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.

“Spiritleaf is establishing a chain of recreational cannabis retail stores with the vision of becoming the leading recreational cannabis retail chain in Canada,” says a statement on the company’s website.

“Stocked with quality, curated cannabis and staffed by a friendly team of experts, we invite you to stop by and let us lift your spirits.”

It’s also the first cannabis company to be granted Canadian Franchise Association Membership.

Those who live on the east side of the bridge also have a Spiritleaf store to look forward to.

The chain’s Kelowna location, located at 1445 Harvey Ave. in the same complex as Domino’s Pizza, Dollar Tree and Bulk Barn, will open early in the new year.
