Central Okanagan residents will have a brand new indoor home to play outdoor sports year-round beginning next month.
West Kelowna’s “Multi-Sport Dome” will be the community’s first air-supported structure that will host a Super-8 sized synthetic turf field.
In August, the city announced the rate structure for the exciting new facility.

Yes, we're borrowing lyrics from a great 80's Pointer Sisters song to show excitement as work on our Multi Sport Centre wraps up! Get details from our October 8 Council Highlights. https://t.co/5VTXTqDaq6 pic.twitter.com/yPibuy0C7E
Those looking to use the full length of the fields during “primetime” hours will be charged $175/hr, while rental rates outside of popular times will go for $110/hr.
Ocen open to the general public, the facility is expected to extend play and practice times for several recreational sports.
The city is planning a grand opening event for the new dome, however, an exact date has yet to be announced.
