Jennifer Cole’s life has forever changed.
The West Kelowna woman won the massive $31-million jackpot from the July 8 Lotto Max draw.
Cole has a lottery subscription through PlayNow.com and checked her account after hearing the jackpot from that draw was won by an online player.
“When I saw the number in my account, it was a lot more than expected,” she explained.
The first to find out about her windfall was her family and they were unsurprisingly very excited for her.
“My family initially thought it was a smaller amount, but once they woke up, I told them I won the jackpot,” she noted.
Now a multi-millionaire, Cole is looking forward to retiring and spending more time with her family.
“I plan on taking some time to decide what’s next, but am definitely looking forward to travelling,” she admitted.
She travelled to Kamloops last week to claim the jackpot in person at BCLC’s head office on Friday.
