Woman's minivan stolen after she left it parked for 1 minute in West Kelowna

A woman’s minivan was stolen in West Kelowna after she stepped out for a minute and left the engine running.

The suspected thief, a man in his 20s, jumped into the Dodge Caravan while it was briefly parked on Main Street just before 7 a.m.

She saw the man get into the car and drive it south during the May 13 incident.

Her purse and cell phone were among the items inside the car.

On May 15, the minivan’s plates were found in Summerland after being switched with plates belonging to a similar van.

The suspect is described as being aged between 20 and 25, about 5ft 8in, slim and with a white baseball cap and white running shoes.

The minivan is a red Dodge Caravan with VIN 1D4GP25R06B668460 and potentially carrying the B.C. plate of CG290N.
