UPDATE: Small wildfire near Traders Cove 'under control'

(UPDATE @ 3:50 p.m.): A small wildfire found near Traders Cove yesterday is now "under control", BC Wildfire Service staff said. 

A fire guard was put around it and it was controlled with water, communications officer Hannah Swift said. 

It was 10 x 10 metres. 

(Original story @ 2:35 p.m.): There is a small wildfire burning near Traders Cove.

A response officer went to the site off Blue Grouse Mountain Road on Monday after it was reported.

There are now three personnel at the site, fire centre communications officer Hannah Swift told KelownaNow.

The cause is suspected to be a person.

Its size is reported on the BC Wildfire Service website as 0.01 hectares. 

No other information is available.
