Spot fire near Westside Road under control

A tiny fire near Westside Road has been brought under control.

The 0.009-hectare fire, at Nashwito Road, west of Vernon, was discovered on Sunday evening at about 9 pm.

The BC Wildfire Service explained in a public notice that the fire is not expected to spread any further.

They also said they believe it was started “by humans or human activity.”
