Ryan Reynolds notices a local Creative Agency

One Peak Marketing is a group of creatives joined together to produce intentional videos, with social impact.
Though they call Kelowna, BC their home base, they collaborate with clients from Coast to Coast, sharing their vision through creative visual storytelling.

Since a lot of their work got cancelled due to COVID-19 they have had to compromise and get creative.

They decided to launch the ad challenge, where every day they create an ad for a different company.

Their most recent one promoted Ryan Reynold's aviation gin, and he noticed!

Commenting on their post "First off, how in the absolute gin-jumping hell did you pull this off?!? Incredible work. We may have to hire you. Or kidnap you? We're still figuring it out." Ryan's wife Blake Lively also left a comment, "couple goals. Mic drop."

Kelowna’s Car Craft Automotive Donating $100,000 in Service and Repairs

Car Craft Automotive is donating $100,000 to people who need repairs on their vehicles but don’t have the money available to get the work done.

Transmissions seem to break down at the worst time and engines often overheat just as the rent is due.

With that in mind, Tony Diemand from Car Craft and his staff are giving back to their community by making this substantial donation to those in our community who are vulnerable and in need.

Kelowna’s front line workers are there for them so Car Craft Automotive wants to be there for them.

They know there is an urgent need out there right now in our community.

There are people with broken down vehicles unable to pick up their prescriptions.

They know there are low paid workers being asked to go above and beyond to serve us during this pandemic but are afraid to commute because their engine light keeps flashing.

They know of many low paid workers who need emergency car repairs in order to get to and from their jobs or transport their kids to appointments.

Applications are available on Car Craft Automotive, Diemand said “We want to make a little dent during this awful time and do something positive for the people who work so hard for us.

A local Sourdough instructor is giving away free training

Shannon, the founder of the Sourdough School House here in Kelowna has been teaching sourdough baking online to home bakers since 2017.

Sourdough interest has gone through the roof, especially due to the yeast shortage, and to be honest, it just brings people joy, which everyone can use a little more during this time.

Shannon has recently been teaching Jillian Harris and Tori Wesszer how to make beautiful sourdough loaves.

Since it has been such a success, Shannon decided to start the initiative the "Bake It Forward” challenge meant to spread the joy of baking.

They have had an overwhelming response of people giving away loaves of bread, so they also decided to give away sourdough training for free, provided the person who learns how to bake commits to giving away their first loaf.

Follow the link here to register for the free training, and to commit to baling and giving away your first load of bread.
