A local woman is making scrub caps for our frontline workers
Tess Perry started sewing scrub caps after she had asked a nurse friend how she could help.
The nurse mentioned that COVID-19 can live in the hair so they needed to protect their heads.
Tess had some leftover fabric so she made as many as she could manage until her fabric ran out.
Now she is waiting for fabric to be delivered and kind strangers have paid for 12 scrub caps in advance that she hasn't even made yet, these nurses just wanted to help.

If anyone has fabric (100% cotton) that they want to donate they can reach out to Tess Perry on Instagram @scrunchymonkey and she will continue to do what she can while she is working full time.
She mostly wanted to share the kindness of other people who are reaching out to help each other and support our community and how wonderful it is!

“We want to help maintain some normalcy and continue to be a place of hope in spite of this pandemic,” says Operations Manager, Lonni Van Diest. “That was why our cafe was founded in the beginning, and even though we can’t offer a physical space for people, we are doing our best to responsibly help our community get through this together.”
