On Saturday, July 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., 3 On 3 Hoopfest will take place at the Downtown Kelowna Block Party. The games can be found on the 200 block of Bernard Avenue, near Mill Street.

Put on by the Okanagan College Coyotes varsity basketball team, the tournament will feature 20 teams of all ages as they showcase their talents and, most importantly, have fun.

The tournament kicks off the re-establishment of the varsity basketball program at Okanagan College.

“We believe there is a huge opportunity for a tournament like this here and it’s great to be part of the Downtown Kelowna Block Party event,” said Luigi Mastrobuono, director of operations.

“Kelowna has a number of great up and coming basketball players, and we want to provide them another venue to showcase their talents and enjoy the natural amenities of our community,” added Mastrobuono.

Though this is the first time they have hosted the event, they hope to make it an annual celebration that gets bigger and better with each year.
