Okanagan gymnasts earn four all around golds

The Okanagan Gymnastics women’s artistic team were in Coquitlam over the weekend for the Omega Invitational.

In total, four athletes won gold medals in the all around competition.

Veronica Tarasenco, 13, took the gold in the all around in the Junior Olympic 8 category after earning the gold medal on the vault, a silver medal on beam and bronze medals on the the uneven bars and floor exercise.

Iulia Tarasenco, 9, also took the gold in the all around in the JO 4 category. She finished with gold medals on the uneven bars and floor exercise and also earned a silver medal on the balance beam.

Tara Dunn, 8, won the all around in JO 3 2009 category, finishing with gold medals on the balance beam and floor exercise and silver on the vault and uneven bars.

Meanwhile, Veronika Yacovelli, 11, won the JO 5 category.

Other competitors for the Okanagan team included Piper Campo, Alexandra Kennedy, Haylee Van Steinburg, Teagan Murray, Raedyn Furneaux, Lexi Crawford, Junelle Sabang, Alayna Butler, Summer Houston, Izabelle Coetzee, Talia Westwood, Ava Roth, Olive Fenske, Sydney Ortynski, Miah Denis, Natalia Simeunovic, Amanda Jaggard, Kyleigh Crawford and Kamryn Greenhalgh.
