Precision Trampoline brought home 18 medals from the BC Trampoline Provincial Championships, held in Coquitlam earlier this month.
This is only the second year of competition for the team from Kelowna Gymnastix, which is led by head coach Cody McAllister and assistant Ryan Hargreaves.
In the men’s level 4 division, Cameron Bouchard earned a bronze medal on the trampoline.
Bouchard’s scores were also high enough to allow him to mobilize to National level in trampoline.
Liam Ozechowski was crowned provincial champion in level 3 trampoline and earned a second gold in level 2 synchronized trampoline with partner Logan Segler.
Ozechowski also brought home a pair of silver medals in level 2 tumbling and double mini trampoline.
In men’s level 2 trampoline, newcomer Jaxon Provencher took the provincial title and he also earned silver in level 1 double mini.
Teammate Isaac Jackson was crowned champion in level 1 double mini and also earned a silver medal in level 1 synchronized trampoline with partner Greyson Jennens.
First year competitors Jackson Sced and Kevin Williams earned a bronze in men’s level 1 synchronized trampoline.
Williams was also crowned provincial champion in level 1 trampoline while Sced took the silver in the same event.
On the women’s side, Shyenne Lawrence brought home a bronze medal in level 3 trampoline ages 14 plus, while Jenaya McCarthy earned silver in the level 2 under 13 category.
In women’s synchronzed trampoline, Mikaela Pattison and partner Chelsea Ozechowski won the provincial title.
Ozechowski also went on to earn a silver in level 1 tumbling for athletes aged 12 and under and an all-around award for placing sixth out of all provincial level athletes.
Teri Johnson was awarded a silver medal for her performance in the women’s level 1, 13+ double mini trampoline category.
Ty Johnston, Reece Swift, Lizzy Bergen, Stephanie Hyatt, Alexandria Keith, Alyssa Rusz, Jude Lediinski and Chloe Glackmeyer also travelled to Provincials with the Precision team.
For several of these athletes it was their first competition and they represented extremely well, with many of them finishing top ten in the province.
