The Kelowna Sr. Raiders Lacrosse team played their season opener against the Kamloops Sr. Rattlers on Friday at the Kamloops Memorial Arena.

While the Raiders put up a good fight against the Rattlers, it still wasn't enough to deter the fire power of the Kamloops shooters in the end.

The Rattlers beat the Raiders 11-5.

However, Kelowna's goaltender, Graham Cousins fended off 44 shots in the game, while Kamloops' goalie, Mike Smith fended off 14 shots.

With a strong defence by Kamloops, the Raiders had difficulty getting through the Rattlers' defence line to score.

Kamloops' top scorer was AJ Lockwood with three goals.

Kelowna's goal were scored by Pho Heng, Jacob Illichmann, Joe Brown and Ryan Lindstrom.

The Raiders' home opener is on Wednesday May 3rd at 7:30 p.m.
