The Kelowna Rockets could not muster any response to the Kamloops Blazers offensive machine, falling 6-0. The Sandman Centre has not been kind to the Rockets, this makes it five straight losses in the home of the Blazers. Kelowna has only scored four goals in those five games to the Blazers 23 goals.

Connor Ingram was the game's first star with his shutout performance, Rudolfs Balcers scored once and added two assists was the second star. Ondrej Vala earned third star honours with one goal and a plus three on the night.

Other goal scorers included Colin Shirley, Erik Miller, Nolan Kneen and Garrett Pilon.

Michael Herringer played the full 60 minutes in the loss for Kelowna.

The season series is now slanted heavily in favour of the Blazers, with only three wins, six losses and only one game to go. The teams wrap up the ten game series February 24th at Prospera Place.

Both teams have 19 games remaining in the regular season and are on a collision course to meet in the opening round of the playoffs. Eleven of the Rockets final 19 games are against teams in the BC Division while 13 of the Blazers final 19 games are against teams within the division. These two teams have scored the exact same number of goals this season (186).

This loss comes after Kelowna won back to back games against the division leading Prince George Cougars.

The Rockets record drops to 30-20-4-0.

The Rockets will return to Prospera Place for the opener of a home-and-home with the Vancouver Giants on Friday night.

Tickets are available for Rockets home games through selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050.
