The Kelowna Rockets were looking for revenge on Wednesday after a heartbreaking loss the night before, and they got it with a 4-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds that ties the series up 2-2.

After a weak effort on Tuesday, the T-Birds came out strong and controlled the first few minutes of the game. Shortly after a disallowed goal, the T-Birds struck again and this time took a 1-0 lead at 3:06 of the opening frame on the power play.

The Rockets didn't let the T-Birds hang on to that lead very long though. A few minutes later, Nolan Foote picked up his first WHL playoff goal, squeezing the puck past Carl Stankowski on the power play to even things up. Just 28 seconds later, the Rockets took the lead as Kole Lind capitalized on a breakaway.

The game began to get a bit more scrappy after the Rockets took the lead, and one can venture a guess that those boys will be a bit sore, especially Luke Ormsby who took this open ice hit from Gordie Ballhorn.

The second period was all Rockets. They pushed the lead further early in the period when Nick Merkley picked up a rebound and sent it into the net. The Rockets also limited the T-Birds to only two shots in the period.

The insurance goal came at the hands of Tomas Soustal at 4:29 of the third period, and while Scott Eansor picked up another for the T-Birds, it wasn't enough to battle back and the Rockets took the W.

Michael Herringer was solid in net, stopping 27 shots from Seattle, while Carl Stankowski once again impressed with 31 saves.

On Friday April 28th, the two teams will meet up in Seattle for game five and will return to Prospera Place on Sunday, April 30th for game six.
