The WHL named its First and Second All-Star Teams for all four divisions today.

Among the players selected to the BC Division teams was Andrew Cristall, as the draft-eligible Kelowna Rockets player was named a first-team all-star.

Cristall led the Rockets with 39 goals and 56 assists for 95 points in just 54 games this season.

Multi-point efforts were the story of the 18-year-old’s season and he even recorded five assists in a game on two separate occasions, most recently on Friday against the Vancouver Giants.

Cristall will almost certainly hear his name called during the first round of the NHL draft this summer and will likely return to Kelowna for one more year of junior before turning pro.

The other five players named to the BC Division First All-Star Team are forwards Logan Stankoven (Blazers) and Chase Wheatcroft (Cougars), defencemen Ethan Samson (Cougars) and Olen Zellweger (Blazers) and goaltender Jesper Vikman (Giants).

Playoff action begins on Friday for Kelowna, with the Rockets in Seattle to take on the top-seeded Thunderbirds for two games this weekend before returning home for games three and four next week.
