Carsen Twarynski is on his way back to Kelowna to join the Rockets after being released by the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL (affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers).

The 20-year-old is entering his fourth WHL season, and second with the Rockets. He joined the Rockets in early January 2017 in a trade with the Calgary Hitmen.

Through four seasons, Twarynski has collected 43 goals and 67 assists for 110 points in 189 career games split between the Calgary Hitmen and the Kelowna Rockets. He amassed 7 goals and 15 assists for 22 points in 28 games with Kelowna. He also added 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points in 37 post season games including 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points in 16 playoff games for Kelowna last season.

The 6'2 200lb power forward from Calgary adds offence, grit, and a veteran presence to the Rockets roster.

With Twarynski's return, that makes for a crowd in the 20-year-old department. The Rockets can only carry three, Twarynski, Tomas Soustal, Gordie Ballhorn, and James Hisendager make up the Rockets in that age category. Devante Stephens, another 20-year-old, is also still listed on the Rockets roster.

The Rockets are also carrying one too many imports. Soustal, Marek Skvrne and Libor Zabransky are all on that list.

The Rockets play again on Wednesday, October 4th, when the Victoria Royals visit Prospera Place for a mid-week B.C. Division matchup.

Tickets are available for Rockets home games through selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050.
