Dillon Dube to captain World Juniors team

The Canadian National Junior Team named its team captains for the upcoming IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, NY.

Canada announced that Kelowna Rockets assistant captain Dillon Dube will serve as the captain of Team Canada for the tournament beginning on Boxing Day.

Dube played for Canada last year at the World Juniors, recording three assists in seven games.

Dube becomes the first player from the Kelowna Rockets in team history to captain the Canadian World Junior squad. 

Kale Clague, Dante Fabbro and Victor Mete will serve as assistant captains. 

The tournament begins on Tuesday when Canada faces off against Finland.
