Another Kelowna Rocket is going to get some game action in before the WHL season begins in January.

The team announced today that goaltender Cole Schwebius has been loaned to the BCHL’s Salmon Arm Silverbacks through Dec. 20, 2020.

He’s one of many WHL players being loaned to a Junior A club to get some playing time before the WHL’s training camps open after Christmas.

Although he wasn’t loaned to the West Kelowna Warriors, Schwebius did appear in one game for the team on an emergency basis in October.

The 19-year-old Kelowna native was 7-11-0 for the Rockets last season, posting a 3.57 GAA and .898 save percentage in 21 games played.

He joins Dallon Wilton, Jake Poole and Sean Comrie as Rockets players that have been loaned to a Junior A team this fall.
