Kelowna Rockets fans excited to see their favourite team back at Prospera Place will have to wait two extra weeks to do so.

After the WHL announced scheduling changes last week, which moved the Rockets season and home opener from Oct. 2 to Oct. 1, more changes were announced today.

This time, that Oct. 1 game against the Vancouver Giants has been moved all the way back to Nov. 3, which means the Rockets won’t kick off their season until Oct. 8 in Victoria against the Royals.

The team’s first home game will now be against the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, Oct. 15.

However, there is a way to see the Rockets earlier, but it won’t be a regular season game.

Kelowna has three pre-season games at Prospera, two this weekend against Victoria and one next weekend against Kamloops, that will all be open to fully vaccinated fans.

Tickets are on sale as of 11 am today through Select Your Tickets.
