A Foote will be representing the Western Hockey League against Russia for the second time.

Following in the footsteps of his brother Cal, Nolan Foote has been selected to Team WHL for the upcoming Canada-Russia series.

Foote will 19 other WHL players on the team for a pair of games in early November.

The first will take place in Kamloops on Monday, Nov. 5, while the second is in Vancouver on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

It’ll be the first two of six games in the annual series, with Team OHL and Team QMJHL playing two games a piece against the Russian team as well.

Foote won't be the only Rocket involved in the series, as the team's head coach Jason Smith was picked to be an assistant coach for Team WHL as well.

Player-wise, there will be plenty of elite talent joining Foote on the roster, including former sixth overall pick Cody Glass and 17th overall pick Ty Smith.

British Columbia hockey fans may also be interested in the lone Vancouver Canucks prospect who’s on the team, which is Moose Jaw Warriors defenseman Jett Woo.

All six games in the CIBC Canada-Russia series will be broadcasted on Sportsnet.
