Rockets handed big fine and player suspension following fight night at Prospera Place

The Western Hockey League has come down hard on both the Kelowna Rockets and the Kamloops Blazers following a wild line brawl at Prospera Place over the weekend. 

Rockets defenceman Kaedan Korczak has been suspended three games for his actions versus the Blazers on Saturday night, during which 232 penalty minutes were handed out between the two teams. 

A $3000 fine was also slapped on the Rockets for the team’s role in the evening’s events. 

The Blazers received a $1,500 for ttheir role in the fights, however, no Kamloops players have been suspended.

When the dust settled, the Blazers skated away with a 7-2 victory over their arch-rivals. 

The Rockets next game goes down this Friday on the road against the Everett Silvertips.
