Another Kelowna Rockets player will be getting some Junior A games in while he waits for the 2020-21 WHL season to begin.

The team announced today that defenseman Sean Comrie has been loaned to the Spruce Grove Saints of the AJHL.

In a season that was cut short due to a shoulder injury, Comrie scored two goals and added 14 assists in 35 games for Kelowna last year.

The 20-year-old will be counted on to play a big role on the Rockets once the WHL season does get underway.

He joins Dallon Wilton and Jake Poole as Rockets who have been loaned to Junior A teams since the league announced that players could be granted temporary transfers.

Manitoba natives Wilton and Poole will both play in the MJHL over the next seven weeks, while Comrie is staying close to his hometown of Edmonton to play for the Saints.

Both Rockets goalies, Roman Basran and Cole Schwebius suited up for the cross-bridge West Kelowna Warriors in October, but that was only for one weekend on an emergency basis.
