The Kelowna Rockets continue to trim the roster, even with the future of the 2020-21 season uncertain.

Just three days after waiving long-time Rocket Liam Kindree, the club announced today that forward Dallon Wilton has been released.

The 19-year-old appeared in 112 WHL games, all with Kelowna, over the course of three seasons.

He scored six goals and added seven assists, along with 46 penalty minutes.

In October 2020, Wilton was loaned to the MJHL’s Neepawa Natives, where he played just three games.

The Rockets, who thanked Wilton for his contributions on and off the ice during his time with the team, originally drafted the Beausejour, Man. native in the third round of the 2016 WHL bantam draft.

The WHL’s BC Division teams are still waiting on approval to return to play for a shortened regular season.

Alberta teams will begin their regular season tonight, while the Eastern Division and US Divisions will get back to business in March.
