The Kelowna Rockets will return to the ice over the next two nights after a 10-day break due to positive COVID-19 tests within the organization.

Team activities were paused on Jan. 19 but the organization has received the green light to get back to business this week.

Kelowna missed two road games while on break, one against the Everett Silvertips that has been rescheduled to Feb. 6 and another against the Vancouver Giants that has not been rescheduled yet.

Over the next two nights, the Rockets will be looking to continue their winning ways against the Victoria Royals on Vancouver Island.

The Royals were the last team the Rockets faced before team activities were paused, beating Victoria twice on Jan. 14 and Jan. 15 by a combined score of 15-5.

Mark Liwiski will return to Kelowna’s lineup tonight after serving a two-game suspension, as will John Babcock and Jake Lee after their time in COVID-19 protocol.

After this trip to the Island, the Rockets will head to Vancouver for a date with the Giants on Friday before the same two teams drive up the Coquihalla to the Okanagan for a rematch on Saturday.
