The Kelowna Rockets were at home for the first time this month and unlike the last time they played at Prospera Place that saw them win 9-1, the Rockets were defeated 9-1 by the Wenatchee Wild.
"Every day is a learning opportunity. There's a lot of youth in that room ... it's no excuse but it starts from the top and works its way down," said Rockets head coach Kris Mallette.
"We'll be better from this but it's a tough pill to swallow."

The Rockets were without a trio of experienced defencemen in Saturday's match, and it showed as the Wild posted three goals in the first period and four scores in the middle frame.
Down 7-0 and with fans waiting patiently for a Kelowna goal so that they could throw their teddy bears onto the ice, Kelowna’s Nate Corbet found the back of the net early in the third period.

That was all the Rockets would get in the match as Wenatchee went on to score two more times and take the 9-1 win.
The Rockets will host the Prince George Cougars on Tuesday before their holiday break.
