The Kelowna Rockets locked up an important future piece today.
The club announced that forward Nathan Cole has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Rockets.
Cole was Kelowna’s second-round pick, 33rd overall, in the 2024 WHL draft.

"It's a huge honour to sign with the Kelowna Rockets," the 15-year-old said. "I can't wait to continue my hockey career in this beautiful city."
Rockets assistant general manager Curtis Hamilton said Cole is “an exciting player that is tenacious and competitive.”
“We look forward to watching him progress this season,” added Hamilton.
The Airdrie, Alta., native posted 14 goals and 16 assists in 27 games playing for the Edge School U15 Prep team in the CSSHL last season, adding a goal and seven helpers in five playoff games.

Rockets training camp wrapped up over the long weekend and the roster was cut down to 32 players, who will begin preseason action in Kamloops against the Blazers on Friday, Sept. 6.
Fans will get their first chance to see the club in preseason action the next night at Prospera Place, with the regular season opener two weeks later at home against the Portland Winterhawks.
