Trevor Wong certainly made the most of the shortened WHL season.

The draft-eligible Kelowna Rockets forward was left off NHL Central Scouting’s 2021 draft rankings earlier in the season, which surely served as motivation for the 18-year-old.

His six goals and 10 assists in 16 games seemed to catch the attention of scouts, as he has shot up NHL Central Scouting’s list of final rankings for the upcoming draft.

Wong is now ranked 90th among North American skaters and is considered a potential third-round selection.

The 5’9”, 155 lbs forward from Vancouver was a first-round pick of the Rockets in the 2018 WHL bantam draft.

He’ll anxiously await for his name to be called at the 2021 NHL draft, which takes place virtually on June 23-24.
