The finals of the Western Canada Ski Cross Series took place at Big White over the weekend.

Big White was the final stop in a series of races across Western Canada.

The sport features four competitors racing on the same track at the same time, which in this case was the ski cross course in Big White’s Telus Park.

Approximately 70 athletes from B.C., Alberta and Washington State raced over the weekend after course training took place on Friday.

Kelsey Serwa, Ian Deans and Ned Ireland, from Canada’s ski cross team, were on hand to present awards.

The top U16 male and female were awarded a spot at the national teams’ ski cross camp.
