The wait is almost over, Big White officially opens for the season in less than 24 hours!
The mountain opens at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday and lift tickets will be 50% for opening day.
Things will kick off with the Ridge Rocket Express, Plaza Chair and Lara’s Gondola all running to serve 19 open runs.
Currently, the alpine snow base is sitting at 95 cm as of Wednesday thanks to 14 cm of new snow since Sunday.
With more snow in the forecast for opening day, as well as cooler temperatures moving into the region, conditions are looking great for opening weekend.
Big White will celebrate the start of the season with a party at the bottom of the Ridge Rocket Express on Thursday that will include live music, free hot chocolate and plenty of giveaways.
As an extra bonus, the first 500 skiers or snowboarders on the mountain will get a limited edition opening day sticker at the bottom of the Ridge Rocket Express.
Furthermore, every skier or snowboarder that rides Big White on Thursday, Friday or Saturday will be entered to win a Big White prize pack full of swag and gift cards.
