It’s been a successful couple of weeks for members of the Telemark Junior Cross Country Ski Team.

The team has achieved impressive results both at home and abroad.

At the Tech Provincial and B.C. Midget Championships, the Telemark team took home third place in the provincial team aggregate.

The B.C. Cup Series concluded with the Tech B.C. Championship, where a number of Telemark skiers picked up top aggregate honours.

Garrett Siever and Gregor Graham led the way with first place finishes in the Midget Boys 2004 and Midget Boys 2003 categories.

A number of Telemark skiers grabbed second place finishes, including Finn Redman (Bantam Boys 2006), Jasmine Filatow (Bantam Girls 2006), Connor Hobbs (Juvenille Boys 2002) and Garrett’s younger brother, Justin Siever (Bantam Boys 2005).

Ben Shipley also found the podium with a third place finish in the Junior Boys 2000 category.

While Telemark skiers were finding the podium at home, Gareth Williams and Thomas Hardy were representing the club abroad.

At the OPA Continental Cup in Zwiesel, Germany, Williams placed sixth in the Free Sprint.

At the Swiss Cup in Davis, Switzerland, Williams placed second and Hardy came 19th in the 10km Classic Technique event.
