Dr. Knox Wins Gold for Both Boys and Girls Championships

Dr. Knox was golden on Saturday, winning first place for the grade 8 boys' and girls' basketball city championships.

The boys played the OKM Huskies for gold at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday after defeating KLO 61-48 in the semi-finals. The Dr. Knox boys then went on to win 48-41 over the OKM A team to take the championship.

The girls did just as well for the Dr. Knox Falcons on Saturday. They also faced a semifinal against the KLO B team, winning 36-26. The Falcons then took on the KLO A team for the gold medal, winning 37-31.

The bronze medal for the grade 8 girls went to the KLO B team, giving KLO both second and third for the city championship. For the boys, OKM took second and third with their B team defeating KLO.

It was a tough tournament with a lot of close matches, but these three middle schools managed to snatch up all the top spots.
