With only three minutes left in the game, the Heat were up by 15 points and looked ready to close out Thompson Rivers. However, the WolfPack came back with some quick veteran plays for an 11-4 run. Third-year guard Mitch Goodwin was the Heat's player of the night with a season-high of 25 points paired with five assists. This victory is the Heat men's team's first since November 21st and their third overall. “We have been a bit down on ourselves the past few weeks … but the young guys really showed how mature they are with how hard they competed tonight,” said Goodwin, the one third-year on a very young team. “I would say that we’ve come a long way since September. I’ve witnessed all of them grow on and off the court and tonight we showed just how far we’ve come as a team.”

The Heat advanced to 3-13 with the win, while the WolfPack fell to 9-7.
