The Kelowna Rockets lost a close one by a score of 2-1 to the visiting Calgary Hitmen.

Leon Draisaitl opened the scoring in the first by deflecting a Madison Bowey blast past Brendan Burke.

Calgary tied it up in the beginning of the second on the power-play and scored the winner with four minutes to play in the third.

Jackson Whistle returned to the Rockets net after missing ten games due to appendix surgery and suffered the loss as Kelowna outshot Calgary 31-24.

Draisaitl was given a game misconduct for a controversial five minute major for goalie interference in the second period.  The game misconduct caused the Rockets bench to get even shorter as the team was without several regulars out with injury.

Kelowna fell to 48-11-3-1 on the season with the loss.

The Rockets are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Everett to meet the Silvertips before playing in Vancouver next Friday.

Kelowna returns to Prospera Place next Saturday night when they host the Spokane Chiefs.
