Rockets' Jackson Whistle Named Goaltender of the Week

Kelowna Rockets Goaltender Jackson Whistle has been named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week.

Whistle was given the nod for his action in the net during the first week of playoff action, ending March 29th, 2015. Whistle was perfect in goal for the Rockets posting back-to-back shutout victories to open the Western Conference Quarter-Final series against the Tri-City Americans. In Game 1 he made 18 saves and earned third star honours in the 6-0 victory. Then in Game 2, Whistle managed to stop all 30 shots he faced as the Rockets took a 3-0 win.

The 19-year-old West Kelowna resident is playing in his fourth WHL season and finished the regular season with a record of 34-10-5-0 including four shutouts. His goals-against-average of 2.55 ranked third in the WHL while his .909 save percentage ranked seventh. 

Whistle was named Goaltender of the Week during the regular season during the week of October 20th to 26th.
