A home game for the Kelowna Sr. Raiders lacrosse team left them outrun and outscored.

The Raiders hosted the Armstrong Shamrocks at Memorial Arena Friday night, losing 16-8. The Kelowna team had difficulties containing the speedy forwards from Armstrong and the Shamrocks had a tight zone defense.

Armstrong’s scoring was led by Andrew Schwab, who picked up five goals. Steve Clark and Kyle Versteeg each had three goals while Jarret Medhurst had two. Kas Boudreau, Drew Hassard, and Braidy Webb each contributed one goal.

Joe Brown and Victor Wiens led the scoring for Kelowna with two goals each. The Raiders saw singles from Pho Heng, Nick Evans, Jacob Illichmann, and Matt Gorges.

The Kelowna team will face Kamloops again on Friday, May 8th after an 18-8 win in the first game of the season.
