Rockets Fined for Comments at Memorial Cup

The Kelowna Rockets Hockey Club has been fined after comments about their game versus the Quebec Remparts on Friday, May 22nd.

The Canadian Hockey League made the announcement on Saturday, saying that the Rockets were being fined $500 for a member of the organization approaching the CHL Hockey Operations Department and saying “negative comments” about the officiating in the game against the Remparts. The CHL did not elaborate on the nature of the comments.

The Rockets lost the game 4-3 on Friday, and their next game isn’t until Monday, May 25th against the Rimouski Océanic.
