The Kelowna Rockets will face Zach Fucale and the Quebec Remparts on Friday night in the semi-final game, with the winner playing the awaiting Oshawa Generals for the 2015 Memorial Cup.

The Remparts advanced on Thursday night after defeating Rimouski Oceanic 5-2.

Quebec jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one period of play. The second period saw an explosion of goals, with Quebec scoring three and Rimouski with a pair.

Only one goal was scored in the third, a Remparts goal that required review before being allowed.

With the score at 5-2 for the Remparts, Rimouski pulled the goalie for almost a full five minutes but could not get anymore past Fucale.

The Remparts held on to book the win and advance to the semi-final.

The Rimouski Oceanic were fined $10,000 immediately after the game for public comments made by head coach Philippe Boucher regarding CHL staff and league officials that the league said were  unacceptable and were deemed to be detrimental to the best interest of the Canadian Hockey League and the MasterCard Memorial Cup.

Kelowna lost 4-3 to the Remparts in the opening game of the CHL Championship. Leon Draisaitl missed over half of the third period due to a misconduct that was assessed at the end of the second period.

Kelowna Rockets fan Reagan Krivsky, who has been to seven Memorial Cups, thinks that the Ramparts are going to be tough but considering it will be their third game in three nights, they will be a little tired. The Rockets have revenge from the opening game as incentive. The Remparts have their fans. So... It's going to be quarrel in Quebec for the Rocket's quest for the cup. LOUD N PROUD...GO ROCKETS GO!!!
