The Kelowna Falcons are on a roll, having won their sixth straight series on Saturday.

The Falcons finished up a nine-game round trip with a big 12-5 win over the Cowlitz Black Bears in Longview, Washington. Kelowna had a pair of runs in the first inning, with Brandon Oliver taking a bases loaded walk and Grant Meylan scoring on a wild pitch.

The Black Bears came back with two of their own in the third after a throwing effort allowed a second run to score on what would have been the third out of the inning. However, the Falcons took back the lead in the fourth when Joey Crunkilton drove in Justin Flores. Both had entered the games as pinch hitters.

Kelowna kept up the lead throughout the fifth and sixth. The team scored seven times, with Oliver picking up his second RBI of the game and Flores having a two-RBI double in the fifth.

Brady Miller did good work for the Falcons, working five strong innings to give up two runs on five hits.

The Falcons put together four straight hits in the sixth. Max Carter drove in two while Gulden had an RBI and Oliver picked up his third of the game.

Cowlitz tried to come back with three runs in the seventh inning, but Josh Egan helped put the Falcons back up by seven with a two-run homerun in the eighth. Jimmy Doyle, Marcus Ethen, and Alex Webb all threw scoreless innings.

The Falcons are coming back home for Monday to take on the Klamath Falls Gems.
