Canadian sprinter Andre De Grasse is quickly establishing himself as one of the fastest men in the world.
De Grasse won bronze medal in the men’s 100-metre final at the 2015 IIAF World Championships in Beijing on Sunday.

— IAAF (@iaaforg) August 23, 2015The 20-year-old from Markham, Ontario finished with a personal best time of 9.92 seconds to finish in a tie for third with American Trayvon Bromell.
It is the first medal for a Canadian sprinter in the 100-metre at the World Championships since Bruny Surin won a silver medal in 1999.
The fastest man in the world was nearly dethroned in the race.

— IAAF (@iaaforg) August 23, 2015Jamaican star Usain Bolt edged out American Justin Gatlin by 0.01 seconds to defend his title. Bolt has won the gold medal in the 100-metre at each of the past three World Championships.
The bronze medal adds to De Grasse’s medal count this summer. He won gold medals in both the 100-metre and 200-metre at the Pan Am Games in Toronto in July.
