The Kelowna Rockets’ top goalscorer last season is returning to Kelowna.

Rourke Chartier, 19, has been returned to the Rockets from the San Jose Sharks after playing in Tuesday’s NHL exhibition game against the Vancouver Canucks.

A fifth-round draft pick of the Sharks in 2014, Chartier will begin his fourth season with the Rockets, coming off a 2014-15 campaign in which he scored 48 goals in 58 games.

That leaves defenceman Devante Stephens (Buffalo Sabres) as the only Rockets player expected to return to Kelowna, but who remains at an NHL camp.
