On the strength of an unbeaten pared-down regular season (4-0), the Owls had a bye to the Valley final and cruised to a 13-0 victory over the Mt. Boucherie Bears, who had edged the Penticton Lakers 3-2 in a semifinal shootout earlier in the day.

The predictable finish earned the Kelowna Secondary School representatives a berth in the B.C. School Sports AAA championship event being hosted by Shawnigan Lake School at the Cowichan Sportsplex Nov. 12-14.

Dezeree Day scored four times, while Letesha Mapstone and Lauren Guy added three goals each for the Owls, who earned their 14th straight trip to provincials. Scotia Hewitt contributed two goals to the lopsided effort, while Holly McGarvey rounded out the scoring.

The championship team, coached by Arnar Bernhardsson and Brian DeMug, also includes Grace Fecht, Taya Laird, Emily Bowen, Destiny Lemp, Grace DeMug, Hannah Phelan, Zoe Brown, Ashley Kowal, Natalie Hope, Summer DeGuevara and Yvette Muttera.
