Kole Lind scored all three goals for Kelowna in his first WHL career hat trick. Line mates Tyson Baillie and Dillon Dube each had two assists in the 3-2 Kelowna win over the Blazers.

The win gives the Rockets a sweep in the home and home series with the Blazers in the first games back after the Christmas break.

Kelowna started off slow getting outshot 15-6 in the first but finishing up the period up 1-0 on Lind's first of the game.

Shots were fairly even in the second with the 12-10 edge to the Blazers and Matt Needham scored to make it 1-1 after two.

In the third Lind scored a pair of goals eight minutes apart to give the Rockets a two goal lead.

Collin Shirley scored his 22nd of the year to get the Blazers close with just under eight minutes to go.

The Blazers pushed hard in the final moments for the tying goal, but Michael Herringer (Herry) closed the door.

The win improves the Rockets record to 27-9-1-0 on the season, first place in the WHL.

Michael Herringer earned the win in net for the Rockets.

The Rockets are back in action on Wednesday night when they play host to the Everett Silvertips, continuing a stretch of five games in seven days.

Kelowna also plays Everett on Jan. 1 before coming back to Prospera Place on Jan. 2 to host Victoria.
